Gold Coins Sports Memorabilia

Tehachapi, CA August 08, 2012

Offered for auction in the timepiece category is a Rolex Daytona Men's Watch. This magnificent Stainless Steel watch was previously owned and is one numerous other Cartier's and Rolex watches in the auction catalog. Not to be outdone by the men, a truly elegant example of the Rolex quality is a Women's Oyster Rolex Watch with bidding starting at $ 2.

A large collection of diamond jewelry and loose diamond gemstones will be featured in this auction. The headline lot is a gorgeous 15.35CT Alexandrite Gemstone. The stone is brilliant cut and comes with GIA certification. . What makes this stone so unique is its surprising ability to change colors from green in natural daylight to a golden yellow in incandescent light. The color change is attributed to the stones natural chemical composition. Another precious gem for auction is the simple yet timeless 3.03CT Round Cut Diamond. This is a large loose stone that can be used as an investment piece or as an upgrade for a smaller diamond in a solitaire setting. "A loose diamond of this cut, clarity and size is a rare find in the retail environment," stated auctioneer Jeff Moore.

For sports enthusiasts a rare piece of baseball memorabilia to be auctioned is a 1966 Topps #50 Mickey Mantle baseball card. Mantle is widely as one of the greatest players in baseball history and one of the best switch hitters of all time. In addition to the card a collectible item for auction is a sports collage featuring bats, mitts and authentic Roger Maris & Mickey Mantle Autographs.

In addition to the luxury items being presented, the auction house is also featuring a collection of gold coins. A unique coin offered is a 1904 $ 20 U.S. Liberty Head Gold Coin. Also referred to as the "Double Eagle" coins because of the $ 20 denomination the coins contain just under one ounce of pure gold. Many numismatics consider this coin to be a great bargain for the collector because of their antique age in relation to the gold content.

Additional auction highlights include a 1875-CC $ 10 Liberty Gold, Caillie Upright Slot Machine, 2012 Porsche Panamera, Coach Purses, and more.
